Sleep is important for academic success, your brain has to have sleep to function at optimum levels.
Do you remember in middle and high school when standardized tests were being given and for a week the school sent out letters to parents reminding them that sleep and nutrition were necessary for the students to perform the best on the tests? They weren’t wrong.
Learning to make sleep a top priority is an important life skill that is often pushed to the side in favor of ‘the hustle’. Let our team of Academic Coaches just stop you there, the hustle is not healthy at all. Making your body and mind the main focus and then putting everything else in line behind them is how you succeed in anything. If your control center and vessel of life are not operating well then nothing else will go well either. If there are issues with sleep for you or your family you need to look into it. Find a sleep specialist and make sure things like sleep apnea, sleep cycles, and sleep needs are in check and addressed.
You may not know how much sleep you need or how much you’re actually getting. There are apps and devices and doctors that specialize in these areas, and they can make the biggest impact on your physical and mental health. They are worth looking into as soon as possible. Get your sleep under control and watch the rest of your life smooth out some, I’m not saying it fixes everything, but it will help with more than you think.
