Sarah L. Cowart, Owner and Founder

Sarah has worked with thousands of students as they balanced the transition from high school to college. She knows it isn’t easy. She's been there. And on top of that, she was a collegiate student-athlete. There isn’t a quick fix or even a magic trick that will make everything a walk in the park for your student. But she can give them the tools and strategies that will help them be successful in the classroom. She is passionate about seeing students achieve their potential. The team at Your Academic Coach believe that ALL students should have the opportunity to be successful from any seat in the classroom.

Sarah graduated from Auburn University in 2005 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She began her professional career as a Teacher and High School Soccer Coach. In 2010, she completed her Masters of Sport Administration at Belmont University. After graduate school, she began a career working in Division 1 athletics, taking her to Belmont University, The University of South Alabama, and The Pennsylvania State University. She has supported hundreds of students as they walked through their college career.

Lauren Losey, Academic Coach

As an educator for over 20 years, in both secondary and higher education, Lauren had the pleasure of working with students from all different walks of life. Two key elements that have remained true no matter the setting are helping students find their confidence in the academic world and planning for their future goals. As an undergrad at Vanderbilt University, she found herself faced with questions on how to better prepare for the week, when and how to study for exams, and how to put her thoughts to paper when writing an essay. These are skills over the years as a teacher, she has focused on to help pull out in others. In learning how to conquer these life skills in college, the student is not only able to feel more successful about their work but in the future they aspire to have.

Lauren graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2002 with a degree in Secondary Education. She began her professional career as a Teacher and Coach. Lauren holds both a Masters and Doctorate degrees in Educational change from Lipscomb University. Throughout her educational career, she has worked with students at The Ensworth School, Lock Haven University and The Pennsylvania State University.
